Do you recall when the Medical Care Facility was approved the full 1mill (over 2.5 million) to use for upgrading property the county doesn't own, and no full budget was provided?
WAS IT MONEY WELL SPENT?
You will find the budget below, obtained through a citizen FOIA request from August 21, 2025.
Do you winder why the Isabella BOC approved the full millage amount? It was NOT for more patient needs like that of turning dementia patients away for lack of appropriate beds.
1. For vacated child daycare space to turn it into a Large activity area for residents (confirmed in FOIA, the county does not own this space).
2. For remodeling of current employee locker rooms
3. For space for laundry facility
Starting at 34:55 on video time or 30:56 in transcript you'll hear that is where the majority of the millage dollars identified will be used for the Medical Care Facility through use of Millage funds.
Watch it read into it and you'll find:
They are at 85% capacity
They could use more dementia beds (but rather opt for money towards a laundry facilty, staff lockers and more activity space)
