Link to County Building Timeline Reno 2024-25:

Isabella County pay attention because two alarming topics are on the agenda at the BOC meeting happening Tuesday, October 21 at 5 o'clock at the Commission On Aging .

For those of you that don't know, my name is Bree and I'm going to

PREFACE THIS BY SAYING that this video IS NOT PARTISAN. but about EXTREMELY SERIOUS FINANCIAL Decisions OF WHICH WE SHOULD ALL BE AWARE.

Now let's talk FACTS on the intertwined agenda items that require your money, all while not being portrayed openly and thoroughly to the public.

  1. Spicer Group - Professional Services Contract for Isabella County, Administration Building Renovation

  2. Moeggenberg - FOIA APPEAL

Briefly breaking it down...

The county building was abated and totally gutted, including the door frames.

Spicer group was contracted to draw up the proposal to renovate the building.

In 2024 it was bid out and a bond intent to get the money to move it forward was passed and quickly rescinded almost a year ago.

During that time,  the commissioners should have discussed publicly and with transparency other options such as selling the building, looking to buy a different building, reasonable rent or to build a new building.

None of these were discussed publicly EXCEPT in February of 2025 a 30 day change directive contract with Spicer Group was approved for a build proposal on new county building located one the new jail property.

Hence, the FOIA that requested to obtain the results as they were well overdo yet never brought up at another meeting.

At first the county said the requested information didn't exist and that was a bold lie as the second denial proves they do have it but don't want to share it because not even the board has seen it!

Now strangely, after the second denial appears this NEW agenda item contract with Spicers to work on proposal AGAIN for the renovation of the old building.

Is this all coincidence? Or is it a play to avoid transparency, options and discussions that side swipe the taxpayers?

We surely know the commissioners voted for an extravagant and expensive jail and and voted no on deputy road patrol.

Have we all been duped?

You decide.
